S.H.Meters will participate in the 23rd AfWASA International Congress & Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Yaoundé from February 9 to 13, 2026.

The exhibition, themed "Water and Sanitation for All: Bold Actions for Africa," aims to promote the development of the water and sanitation sector in Africa and explore sustainable solutions. The event will bring together water industry experts, government representatives, and technology companies from around the world to jointly discuss the future of sustainable water resource management and smart development in Africa.

As a one-stop provider of water metering solutions, S.H.Meters will showcase its latest water meter products and meter-reading solutions

S.H.Meters' meter-reading system integrates advanced technologies, including Bluetooth communication, NFC identification, and image recognition processing. It supports two flexible data collection methods, effectively addressing issues of low efficiency, large errors, and high labor costs.

1. wM-Bus Collection:
By connecting the wM-Bus reader to a handheld terminal via Bluetooth, water meter data can be quickly collected wirelessly and uploaded in real time to the management platform. Multiple meters can be read in a single operation, significantly reducing meter-reading time.

At the same time, automatic reading collection helps minimize manual input and operational errors, reducing labor dependency and rework costs.

2. No need to replace the smart water meter - just add a barcode or NFC tag to the existing meter to enable fast meter reading:

The handheld terminal can scan the water meter barcode or read the NFC tag to automatically match the meter number. After capturing an image of the meter dial, the system intelligently recognizes the reading and uploads it in real time (including the original photo), allowing management personnel to review the data at any time.

At the same time, the app also features map-based visualization for water meter management. Using Google Maps, it can display the location, status, and zoning of all meters, helping users quickly locate, view, and manage meter information.

  • Water Meter Test Bench

To address the challenges faced by water utilities and water meter manufacturers as diverse testing requirements, low testing efficiency, and difficulty in customizing functions-S.H.Meters' water meter test bench provides a comprehensive, personalized, and fully supported solution.

  • STS Water Meter Series:

S.H.Meters has independently developed STS prepaid water meters for the African market to address challenges such as difficulties in water fee collection, frequent water leakage and theft, and the inability to monitor water usage in real time.

STS

The STS ultrasonic water meter combines the accuracy (R250/R400) and long, wear-free lifespan of ultrasonic technology with the billing security and convenience of the STS prepaid system, providing water utilities with a smarter, more integrated solution.

  • Multi-Jet Water Meters:

S.H.Meters' R160 DN15–25mm Brass and plastic body multi-jet water meters have successfully obtained MID and OIML certification. This demonstrates that our multi-jet water meters meet strict standards in terms of measurement accuracy and stability.

The multi-jet water meters also support meter reading via Bluetooth communication and NFC/photo capture, greatly improving reading efficiency and reducing labor costs.

  • LoRaWAN Water Meter Series:

Designed for installation scenarios in Africa's remote areas, underground pipelines, and other locations with difficult maintenance and complex network environments, the LoRaWAN water meters focus on "dual-mode + low power consumption", addressing poor network compatibility and frequent device replacement issues in Africa.

4G + 2G water meter:
Strong network adaptability: the water meter supports both 2G and 4G networks, accommodating different operators' conditions. Even with future network upgrades, the meter will continue to operate normally without the need for large-scale replacement.

LoRaWAN + wM-Bus water meter :

The water meter integrates wM-Bus and LoRaWAN technologies, achieving short-range high-efficiency transmission and long-range wide-area coverage.

It features a low-power design, ensuring reliable operation for over 8 years in hard-to-maintain environments such as underground or remote areas, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.

Through this exhibition, S.H. Meters hopes to engage in in-depth exchanges with partners from Africa and around the world, jointly promoting the development of smart water management and sustainable water supply systems in Africa, and contributing to the goal of "Water and Sanitation for All."
