2. Determination of installation location: Generally, water meters for water inlet pipes are installed in outdoor water meter wells, basements, or special rooms. Water meters for household users are installed on the main pipes of households. A stop valve should be installed in front of the water meter and a check valve should be installed behind it. The installation height is 1200mm. Generally, water meters are installed in places that are easy to check, not exposed to sunlight, not frozen, and not polluted.
3. It is best to install a filter before the water meter, and the dirt in the pipeline should be removed before other meters in the pipeline to avoid clogging.
4. To maintain the level of the dial, the water meter can only be installed on the horizontal pipe. In addition, the direction of the arrow on the water meter shell should be consistent with the direction of the water flow. If necessary, a bypass pipe can be considered.
5. Connection form, when DN>=50, use a flange connection; when DN<=40, use a threaded connection.
6. Rotor water meters and vertical spiral water meters should be installed horizontally. Horizontal spiral water meters and volumetric water meters can be installed horizontally, inclined, or vertically according to the actual situation. When installed vertically, the direction of water flow must be from top to bottom.
7. Maintenance valves should be installed before and after the water meter and on the bypass pipe, and a drainage device should be installed between the water meter and the valve behind the meter. To reduce the loss of the faucet and ensure the vertical flow of the water in the front pipe of the meter, the gate valve should be used for the maintenance valve in front of the meter. The maintenance valve behind the meter and the special drainage device may not be provided for household water meters in residential buildings.
