Working Principle
This meter measures flow using a simple, proven method: two ultrasonic transducers send signals through the water - one with the flow, one against it. The downstream signal travels faster; the upstream signal travels slower. The meter calculates the time difference between them to determine flow velocity and volume.
No moving parts inside. No mechanical wear. No routine maintenance.
This means sediment, rust, and scale don't affect accuracy. It measures reliably from as low as 5L/h up to peak demand (R400 turndown).
For water utilities and facility managers: one meter that stays accurate for years, without costing you time or money.

Notices for Installation
Installation Best Practices
Proper installation is critical to ensuring measurement accuracy and long-term reliability.
Pre-Installation & Mounting
- Purge the pipeline thoroughly before installation to remove welding slag, scale, and particulate matter that can compromise transducer performance.
- Install an isolation valve and a Y-type strainer upstream of the meter, with a mesh size suitable for the expected water quality to protect the sensor from abrasive damage.
- Install a downstream isolation valve to facilitate future maintenance without system shutdown. A spring-loaded check valve is recommended upstream or downstream to prevent backflow and water hammer effects.
- Reserve straight pipe lengths of 10 × DN upstream and 5 × DN downstream from the meter body to minimize flow profile distortion caused by elbows, reducers, or valves.
- Position ultrasonic transducers so their faces are horizontally aligned on the pipe section. For vertical installations, flow direction must be upward to maintain a full-pipe condition and consistent signal propagation.
- Confirm the directional arrow on the meter body corresponds with the actual water flow direction. Reverse flow is not measured accurately and may damage the transducer assembly.
- Verify gasket alignment during coupling. Offset gaskets can introduce localized turbulence and restrict flow, resulting in measurement error.

Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure the pipeline and meter body are completely filled with water before commissioning. Entrained air causes signal attenuation and unstable readings. Vent air from the system using purge valves where available.
- The LCD refreshes every 4 seconds. When validating readings, allow at least 4 seconds after closing the valve before recording start and end values.
- Operate within the rated flow range (Q1 to Q3). Extended operation at or above overload flow (Q4) may cause cavitation and permanent damage.
- The meter is sealed with a tamper-evident security seal. Unauthorized removal voids the warranty and may indicate unauthorized intervention.
- If the meter fails to register flow, displays erratic readings, or triggers a fault alarm, contact the service department immediately. Do not attempt disassembly or repair in the field.

Certifications & Compliance
Certifications & Compliance
Our Ultrasonic WiFi Water Meter with Remote Monitoring has undergone rigorous third-party audits and holds the following key certifications:
