What is the overload flow of the IoT water meter?
We know that ordinary water meters have overload flow. As a member of the remote water meter family, IoT water meters also have their overload flow. So what is the overload flow of IoT water meters?

The base meter of the Internet of Things water meter is also an ordinary water meter. The overload flow rate of the water meter refers to the maximum flow rate that exceeds the rated flow rate in a short period of time. At this flow rate, the error of the water indication value is within the maximum allowable error. When it is restored to work under the rated operating conditions, the measurement characteristics remain unchanged. The meaning of "short time" is: no more than 1h (hour) in a day and no more than 200h in a year. The overload current M is represented by the symbol "Q4".
For example, we calculated Q3=4m3/h and Q4=5m3/h based on the information on the nameplate of the IoT water meter, which means that the common flow rate of the IoT water meter is 4m?/h, and the overload flow rate is 5m3/h. But this is not to say that the IoT water meter can only reach a flow rate of 5m3/h, but that this IoT water meter can work at a flow rate of (4~5)m3/h in a short period of time without causing damage, and guarantees Its measurement performance (or that it can be accurate). When the flow rate is greater than 5m3/h, the IoT water meter will still operate, and water will still flow out of the pipe. However, at this time, the measurement accuracy of the IoT water meter cannot be guaranteed, and excessive flow may cause excessive wear of the IoT water meter and reduce the service life, and even cause the damage of the IoT water meter.

Therefore, we should select and use the IoT water meter according to the parameters indicated on the IoT water meter. The flow rate depends on the opening of the valve, which is the size of the faucet.
