Smart water meters are now also used in most households. It will display the numbers directly on it. When you look at the water card, you can see the water consumption, remaining amount, balance and other information.
However, have you discovered that your water fee has increased more and more? Even doubled? It turns out that the water meter is spinning, and the meter reader always says normal!
At this time, if there is no water leakage in the house, the water meter will turn. There are three possible reasons:
First, the water pressure in the pipeline is unstable and the water is flowing backwards. Then it will cause the rotation of the water meter.
Second, because the pressure is relatively large, there will be pressure air that will cause an increase in water consumption.
Third, the water flow fluctuates back and forth due to the pulsating changes in water pressure. The water meter only rotates forward and does not reverse, which is why the water consumption increases.
To solve this problem, we first know about several water meters.
First, the digital water meter The common digital water meter is the same as the old-fashioned electric meter, which is composed of a character wheel and a pointer. The number shown on the water meter represents the amount of water used. There are 3 red pointers below, and the readings are clearly tens, thousands, hundred, ten, and ones. If the one-digit display is 1, we can directly look at the red pointer number, which is 1 ton of water.
Second, the pointer type water meter This is a pure pointer, there is no digital reading. There are 4 black hands and 4 red hands in the water meter. When the water meter is used, the number on the red pointer is not to be used. Look at the black pointer reading, the pointer readings are × 1000 (thousands), × 100 (hundred places), × 10 (ten places), × 1 (ones).
The solution is also very simple. First, exclude the air: change the triangle valve or faucet, then open the main valve, and then put all the faucets in the house. This will empty the air in the water pipe.
Second, the installation of check valves: especially high-level users have a secondary pressurized water supply. When someone uses water, the water pressure in the pipeline drops and the water meter reverses. Therefore, a check valve must be installed: a check valve is installed at the rear of the water meter. This can well solve the situation that the back end of the water meter is reduced due to water pressure and water backflow.
