Intelligent IC card water meter is a new type of water meter which uses modern micro-electronics technology, modern sensing technology and intelligent IC card technology to measure water consumption and transfer water data and settle water transactions.

The appearance of IC card water meter is basically similar to that of general water meter, and its installation process is basically the same. The use of IC card water meter is very simple. From the user's point of view, insert IC card into the water meter.
The working process of IC card water meter is generally as follows: insert IC card containing amount into IC card reader of water meter. After identifying and downloading amount by computer module, the valve opens and users can use water normally. When the user uses water, the water acquisition device starts to collect the water consumption, and converts it into the required electronic signal to supply the computer module for measurement, which is displayed on the LCD display module. When the user's water consumption amount drops to a certain value, the computer module carries out sound alarm, prompting the user to pay for water with a card. If the amount of water is exceeded, the computer module will automatically close the electric control valve and cut off the water supply. Until the user inserts the paid IC card and starts to open the valve again for water supply.
