Selection of large diameter water meters

Generally speaking, the large-caliber water meter, which accounts for 1% of the total number of water meters in the water company, is responsible for 70% of the water sales. Its measurement efficiency will directly affect the production and sales gap of the entire water company. Important. At present, there are many types of water meters on the market with different prices. How to choose a water meter with stable performance, accurate measurement and moderate price has become one of the main problems faced by today's water supply enterprises.

Water meter selection basis

The selection of water meters is based on the following three factors: the theoretical measurement range of the water meter, the actual suitable flow range, the pressure loss of the water meter, and the technical characteristics of the large-diameter water meter.

1. The theoretical measurement range of the water meter and the actual suitable flow range. The theoretical measurement range of a water meter refers to the range from small flow to overload flow specified by national standards. The actual suitable flow range is the recommended flow range recommended according to the structure and technical characteristics of the water meter.

2. Water meter pressure loss. The pressure loss of the water meter depends on the structure and geometry. The water flow of the horizontal screw type water meter flows in and out axially, the water flow is stable, and the pressure loss is the smallest, which is about 0.01MPa under the standard maximum flow; Although the water flow of the water meter flows axially, it is blocked by the flow conversion valve, and the pressure loss is large, which is 0.06MPa; the water flow of the rotor-type water meter has complex turns and rotations, the flow field is turbulent, and the pressure loss is the largest, close to 0.1MPa. The size of the pressure loss of the water meter is directly related to the flow capacity of the water meter, the water supply cost and the water supply elevation at the peak of the water consumption, and is an important technical indicator for the selection of the water meter.

3. Technical characteristics of large-diameter water meters.

LXS horizontal rotor wet water meter, LXS horizontal rotor wet water meter actually enlarges the structure of the small diameter horizontal rotor wet water meter, the impeller blades are vertical, and the water flow enters the impeller tangentially from the impeller box. It flows out from the water outlet of the impeller box through rotation and complicated change of direction, and then flows out of the water meter through rotation and change of direction, so the structure is huge and the pressure loss is large.

LXL type horizontal screw wet water meter. The impeller of the LXL type horizontal screw-wing wet water meter is a screw-wing impeller, which is already a horizontal screw-wing type in structure. it is good. The disadvantage is that the impeller lead is large, the structure cannot be disassembled, and it is not easy to maintain.

LXLGC type horizontal screw detachable dry water meter. The LXLGC type horizontal screw detachable dry water meter has a water meter with a measurement performance of class B and a water meter diameter of 500mm, which has become a new leading product. The advantages are: ①The metering level is improved, from A to B, and the water fee recovery rate is improved; ②The water head loss is small and the flow capacity is large, which can slow down the expansion pressure of the pipe network, reduce the water supply pressure requirement, and reduce the power consumption of the water pump. ③Detachable structure is easy to maintain; ④ Strong ability to withstand large flow and long service life; ⑤ It can be configured with remote transmission output function to facilitate management and upgrade. The disadvantages are: the water meter has a precise structure without a filter screen, and the antifouling performance is slightly poor.

Of course, the selection of large-diameter water meters should not only consider the measurement range, pressure loss and technical factors of the water meter, but also comprehensively consider the economic factors that are closely related to the design of the pipe network, water supply costs, water fee collection rates, and maintenance costs of the pipe network. . Only in this way can we effectively select large-caliber water meters that are conducive to reducing investment, reducing water supply costs, and improving water fee collection rates.
