How to correct the inaccurate reading of the water meter
The calibration of the water meter includes the requirement that the reading accuracy of the large-diameter water meter or its individual parts meet the corresponding standards, rules, and instructions. Recalibration of the finished meter is carried out in the factory by adjusting the individual units of the meter mechanism. The adjustment of large-diameter water meters should be carried out by the technicians of the waterworks or by the special management and adjustment office during their installation and use. The main specifications of the water meter (flow coefficient, transition coefficient, pipe coefficient, etc.) are determined by the test method, which is called the calibration of the water meter or its parts.
In addition, in order to check the accuracy of the reading of the large-diameter water meter, after it is made and adjusted, or during the operation of the water meter (after a certain period of time), the water meter or its individual parts must be inspected.
The inspection of a water meter or its individual parts involves comparing the reading of a large-diameter water meter or its parts with the reading of an accurate (standard) meter.
