Working Principle

The working principle of the electromagnetic meter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction: when a conductive liquid flows at a certain velocity through a measuring tube perpendicular to a magnetic field, an electromotive force proportional to the flow velocity is induced in a direction perpendicular to both the flow and the magnetic field. This voltage signal is collected by electrodes, amplified and processed, and then converted into the liquid's volumetric flow rate.
