What are the different types of water meters?
The types of water meters are classified according to different standards, such as:
Ⅰ.According to the measurement principle: it is divided into speed type water meter and volume type water meter.
1. Velocity water meter: It is installed in a closed pipeline and is composed of a moving element, and the water meter directly obtains the power speed by the speed of the water flow. Typical speed water meters include rotary-wing water meters and screw-wing water meters. There are single-stream water meters and multi-stream water meters in rotary-wing water meters.
2. Volumetric water meter: Installed in the pipeline, a water meter composed of a number of chambers of known volume that are filled and discharged with fluid successively and a mechanism driven by the fluid, referred to as quantitative discharge water meter. Volumetric water meters generally adopt a piston structure.

Ⅱ.According to the measurement level:
1. According to the old standard, it can be divided into A-level meter, B-level meter, C-level meter, and D-level meter.
2. After the new version of the standard is released, the measurement grade classification method has become quite complicated, which is mainly determined according to various parameters such as flow value and range ratio. The larger the range, the higher the measurement level.
Ⅲ.Divided by nominal diameter: Divided into large-caliber water meter and small-caliber water meter. Water meters with a nominal diameter of 50 mm and below are usually called small-caliber water meters, and water meters with a nominal diameter of 50 mm or more are called large-caliber water meters.

Ⅳ.Divided by purpose: divided into civil water meters and industrial water meters.
Ⅴ.According to the installation direction: divided into horizontal installation of water meters and vertical installation of water meters. It refers to a water meter whose flow direction is parallel or perpendicular to the horizontal plane during installation. On the dial of the water meter, use "H" for horizontal installation and "V" for vertical installation.
Ⅵ.Divided by temperature: It is divided into cold water meter and hot water meter. The water temperature is 30 degrees Celsius as the dividing line.
1. Cold water meter: a water meter with a medium lower limit temperature of zero degrees Celsius and an upper limit temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
2. Hot water meter: a water meter with a medium lower limit temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and an upper limit of 90 degrees Celsius or 130 degrees Celsius or 180 degrees Celsius.
Ⅶ.Aaccording to pressure: divided into ordinary water meters and high-pressure water meters. In China, the nominal pressure of an ordinary water meter is generally 1MPa. High-pressure water meters are various types of water meters with a maximum operating pressure of more than 1 MPa. They are mainly used to measure underground water injection in oil fields flowing through pipelines and other industrial water.
Ⅷ.Divided according to water immersion conditions: wet water meters, dry water meters, and liquid-sealed water meters.
1. Wet water meter: the water meter with the counter immersed in water, the glass of the meter is under water pressure, and the transmission between the sensor and the counter is gear linkage. After a period of use, the quality of the water will affect the clarity of the water meter reading.
2. Dry-type water meter: a water meter whose counter is not immersed in water. The sensor is structurally isolated from the chamber of the counter. The glass of the water meter is not subject to water pressure. The transmission between the sensor and the counter is generally driven by magnetic steel.
3. Liquid-sealed water meter: The meter wheel used for meter reading or the entire counter is made up of a liquid-sealed water meter with a certain concentration of glycerin. The clarity of the sealed and isolated counter is not affected by the external water quality, and the rest of the structural performance is the same as that of the wet type. The water meter is the same.
Ⅸ.Classified by form: Divided into analog type, digital type, and analog-digital combined type.
