Recognize the difference between dry and wet water meters in smart water meters
With the popularization of "one meter for one household" and "stepped water price", IC card smart water meters that do not require meter reading have become the choice of more and more water companies and property management companies. IC card smart water meters are divided into wet meters and dry meters, so which one is better?
The difference between a dry water meter and a wet water meter:
1. Working environment
Wet water meters are immersed in water, while dry water meters are not.
2. Whether the watch glass can withstand water pressure
The glass of the wet water meter can withstand the water pressure, and the glass of the dry water meter cannot withstand the water pressure.
3. Transmission mode of water meter mechanical sensor and counter
The transmission of the wet water meter is gear linkage, and the transmission of the dry water meter is the magnetic steel transmission.
4. Basic structure
Wet water meter, its basic structure is impeller (rotor), impeller box, gear box, counter and all parts are immersed in water, this kind of water meter has relatively high requirements on its corrosion resistance.
The basic structure of the dry water meter is that the impeller (rotor) and the impeller box are in the water, and the data is transmitted to the gear box and the counter through the magnet, so this type of water meter is also called "magnetic water meter".
Second, the advantages and disadvantages of dry water meters and wet water meters are as follows:
1. Wet water meter
Advantages: Wet water meter measurement is more accurate, and there is no phenomenon such as demagnetization. The domestic application and research time is long, the product is mature, and the metering performance is reliable. Under the same metering level, the initial flow and minimum flow are slightly better than the dry type. The structure is simple, the manufacture and maintenance are convenient, and the cost is relatively low.
Disadvantages: If the water quality is poor or after being used for a long time, the dial is prone to yellowing and blackening, which affects reading. If the glass of the watch is broken, water will overflow. When the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the watch is large, fog is easily generated on the glass, which affects the reading. In cold weather, the water in the watch glass may freeze.
2. Dry water meter
Advantages: Because the counting mechanism of the dry water meter is isolated from the water to be measured, it is not affected by the suspended impurities in the water, ensuring the normal operation of the counting mechanism and the clear reading, and it will not be caused by the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the meter like the wet water meter. The phenomenon of fogging or condensation under the glass that affects the reading of the water meter. Because the counting mechanism of the dry water meter is isolated from the water to be measured, it is not affected by the suspended impurities in the water, ensuring the normal operation of the counting mechanism and the clear reading. Fog or condensation water droplets and other phenomena that affect the reading of the water meter. If the watch glass is broken, the water will not overflow, and the safety is good
Disadvantages: The structure is slightly complicated and the cost is relatively high. The performance at the initial flow rate and the minimum flow rate is slightly inferior to that of the wet type. The magnetic steel technology and assembly process requirements are relatively high. Poor handling may cause demagnetization and the watch will not move.
