IC Card Prepaid Water Meter Workflow
Users first go to the water supply management department to purchase water, and the purchased water volume information is written into an IC card. When the recharged IC card is inserted into or brought near the card slot/sensing area of the water meter, the built-in card reader retrieves the water volume information. If the information is valid, the microprocessor stores it in the meter and automatically opens the built-in electric valve to supply water.
During water usage, the water meter measures the volume of water flowing through it using mechanical or electronic sensors. The processor deducts the consumed water volume in real time and displays the remaining water volume on the screen. When the remaining water volume drops to a preset warning level, the meter issues an alert. When the remaining water is fully used up, the electric valve automatically closes and stops the water supply.
