GPRS WATER METER

 

This 15mm GPRS smart digital water meter is a specialized modern water management remote meter-reading product. It adopts mature GPRS cellular network communication technology with no need for wiring and transmits water consumption data to the backend water management platform in real time, avoiding traditional manual meter reading on-site.

There are three parts in the system: a GPRS water meter terminal, a SIM card (2G), and a cloud-based operation & management platform. The meter has a built-in GPRS communication module and uses the public cellular network to upload data to the platform. The cumulative flow, battery voltage, and the reported status of each water point can also be tracked and managed by the administrator at any time and from anywhere via the internet.

4. Real-Time Monitoring, Smart Alerts

Water data sampling and uploading are supported 24/7. Managers view live flow and cumulative consumption and receive abnormality alerts. If a continuous low flow (leakage suspected) or high flow at an unusual time is detected, the system will send instant alert messages, allowing early detection and remedy for pipeline leakages.

5. Flexible Configuration

GPRS System

Each GPRS water meter is equipped with a SIM card and transmits data directly to the cloud platform via a 2G/3G/4G cellular network. The meter wakes up at scheduled times, goes online for 30 seconds to upload data and receive commands, then returns to deep sleep to preserve battery life. The system administrator can send valve control or meter reading commands from the platform to the meter at any time.
